Tamarac might warranty it for you, but I doubt there is anything wrong with your particular zipper. Do any manufacturers have significantly stronger zippers than others? I tend to travel pretty heavy, usually loading up both a backpack and a medium Pelican case for carry-on.ġD Mark III :: 5D Classic w/BG-E4 :: EF 24-70 f/2.8 L :: EF 135 f/2 L :: EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS :: EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II :: 580EX II (x4) :: ST-E2 :: Gitzo GT2330, GT1541T :: Markins M10 :: Feisol CF mono I've never like the way that bag sticks way off my back, so I'm open to replacing it. Is there a way to get the zipper replaced? If so, where and what kind of zipper? (My wife says try the dry cleaners, and I thanked her for the idea and left it at that.)

But now I don't trust it not to pop open in the middle of an airport and spill thousands of dollars' worth of gear all over the floor. There's no visible damage to the zipper, and it zips open and closed smoothly. Nevertheless, the zipper popped open in mid-length a couple of times.

It's full but not bursting at the seams (that is, not stretched). Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 g (pretty big and heavy)

I had it loaded to a total weight of about 33 lbs. I don't think I'm overloading my backpack, but the zipper split open several times on me during a recent trip.
